Bad news about my wife's Dad

Just got the call that he isnt going to make it through the day. No other details yet as this is a rather sudden development. Please keep him and my wife in your prayers. We would appreciate it very much. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

We called and said our goodbyes alittle while ago. With him in Hawaii it just makes it hard on us all. Saddest part is, even up to the last couple of days, he didnt tell us the real state of affairs. Sometimes these old timers make me want to....well, anyone with a stubborn parent or grandparent who doesnt want to burden the kids knows what I am saying, LOL. That is my only regret as we were thinking about getting out there to visit before things got too bad...well we werent given the chance but we know he is going to a better place and his suffering is coming to an end.

God is faithful as we were also blessed during that call. Her Dad is evidently aware enough to hear when the phone is held for him. But he is unable to talk or communicate. Those around him described his reaction so we have peace knowing he heard us. At least we were given that chance to talk to him one more time when many others dont get that opportunity. For that we are very thankful.

We know we will see you soon, just like in a blink of an eye, Pap Darrell. Until then, we love you more than you know and will miss you very much.

Our faith will get us through, it always does.
