I take care of the bills the Old School way--mostly by mail but sometimes directly at the bank.

My pc was hacked once and attempted 3 or 4 times--so I would be a fool to bank online.

As of last week, I dont write anymore cheques. I am in the process of closing that account cuz I am at the point of paying $65 at the bank in fees and extras per month--and that does not include late fees through snail mail--as much as $100 per month.

It is not enough for banks to make millions of dollars per year but are making billions in profits...soon u will hear the word trillions from them.

They are in business to make money--and money they do make.

I am out of it now. All my clients pay me in cash now and I give a receipt when they ask. And if they do ask I add 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST). If not they save the tax and so do I on Income Tax at the end of the year. But this is not really in my favour and have no time to explain, nor do I want to.

But as for banks, I ve had it!

...and no more ATM fees--woo-hoo!

Watchout fellow Canadians, banks want to raise the ATM fee from $1.50 to $2...and may go as high as $3 per transaction. Ridiculous.

Buy Shares In Scotia Bank
Off topic ,
Banks make money,

And bank shares rather than their products make more money ...
And Scotia bank has paid dividends longer than Canada has been a country

hmmm, good idea. A possibility for me soon.

I m not done trimming down careless expenses. By late Summer (or early September) I should be a new man.

I have new goals and will be focusing directly on them. Perspectives of a new age to come.

New School. My accounts have so many freebies that I would be foolish to do otherwise.

New school. However, working for a bank and a branch beng downstairs, I tend to go old school sometimes.

I still pay by check for a few bills because I don't want my bank information all over the net.
