Baseball batting simulators

Not sure how common they are in the US....but whenever I go to the Gold Coast in Australia, I have a go on a hitting simulator in an arcade. You wear the helmet get the bat and supposibly face some MLB pitchers.

Last time faced Randy Johnson and held my own. Speeds were similar to what he sends down. Hell of a workout. Not sure how accurate they are though.

No fear factor though... it won't hurt if it "hits" you...

I have seen one before but I haven't tried it. The person pitching in the one that I saw was nolan ryan. I would love to try and hit one of his fast balls. Also Dave, did your simulator have different release points on it(holes in it where the ball comes out)? One for righties and one for lefties?

Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.

Not sure about that smet, don't remember. Where it loses its realism is alot of pitches are strikes over the plate, sure u get some inside and outside but when they are they aren't far from the plate.

Was doing better on his fastballs.
