Beer Champs

Hey all you beer champs, I got a question for ya... One of my friends is thinking about going on a diet, but she loves drinking beer and refuses to give it up during her diet... Basically my question is: Is it better for her to drink 10 regular beers or 15 lite beers? Advice is Needed!

def. 10 regular beers. there is such a huge difference in taste. lite beers are like drinking soda water. tell her to cut something else out of her diet. no need to drink sh#tty beer

I sure hope she isn't drinking that in 1 sitting. If she is I'd imagine she prolly has a huge beer belly and is all hurting looking and a drunk

Tell her to cut out the ho-ho's and chocolate cookies she prolly wolfs down

it will be extremely hard to lose weight period drinking 10 to 15 beers in a sitting

if she doesn't care about taste, tell her to go with Michaloeb Ultra Light... it taste like water, but has the least carbs/calories of any beer out today (also lowest alcohol content too)

lol, some people.

If shes thinking about dieting but not willing to give up things that cause he to get fat/stay fat then shes likely not thinking about it with any amount of effort.

But, to answer your question. In general it would be 'more healthy' (not that it should realy be called that) in terms of providing less calories to have 10regular beers. In general a light beer of one brand will have aprox 70 - 78% of the calories of the regular beer of the same brand. Thats not few enough to make up for drinking 1/3 more. bud, coors, mich and old mil all go by this.

The acception would be miller. 143 cal reg 96 light which is .67 less in light as apposed to the others which are all above .70.

143 X 10 = 1430
96 X 15 = 1440

Only 10 cal dif. All the others are far more skewed to favoring 10 reg over 15 light.

This is a hard question to ask. The thing we must all remember here is that every ones body is not the same. I know a guy that can drink 5 out out of 7 days out of the week with no diet and workout and not gain anything.

If I tryed to do the same thing I would blow up twice or three times more then I am now.

For those that know me at the mall I am a big guy in person, I also love the drink as much as the food.

The drink may be the only thing that is keeping this person fat.

So I would say a 1 month with no beer as they start the work out and then go to a one day a week night out with a drink, and just add more cardio to the workout.

But after that 1 month if they go back to doing the drink as they used to they have a big risk of a heart attack, this is the same with any diet. If you cut out all the crap food for a month and then go eat like a horse for one day every week that can hurt you.

I would for sure say cut out the drink for 30 days, workout and go from there. Also check with there doctor before any workout, food or huge drink changes.

Your risk of a heart attack is not going to be lower if you consistantly grub out and drink then it will be if you suddenly stop and eat healthy for a month and go back to grubing out after. Where did you hear that? The body is more intelligent then most give it credit for. It remembers what it has gone through long run but even more so in the near future and it prepares for it to happen again. People who starve themselves quickly gain weight when they start eating more healthy because the body is preparing itself for the 'famine' to happen again. In many regards its much like the immune system.

Taking any time out from a horrible diet is a good thing. It gives the body time to repair (not everything a bad diet does to you can be repaired obviously, but it at least minimizes some of the damage being done) and prepare for the next wave. However, its not going to make a bad diet any better and it can still kill you.

Just because someone always eats bad does not mean their body is 'used' to it and that they can tolerate a bad diet any more then someone who is eating healthy. This is why people who eat unhealthy often have low energy, weight problems and other health issues. Some people can tolerate bad diets better then others in terms of not gaining weight which does make them less unhealthy due to the many health risks of obesity but there are many other health problems associated with eating bad that they still have to deal with cholesterol issues and cloting.
