Beer driver goes on shooting rampage

MANCHESTER, Conn.—Authorities say the warehouse driver who went on a shooting rampage at a beer distributor in Connecticut may have targeted his first victims, and that guns found at the scene were registered.
Manchester police Lt. Christopher Davis said Wednesday that the first two people killed by 34-year-old Omar Thornton at Hartford Distributors were escorting him out of a meeting where he had resigned after being shown a video of himself stealing beer.

Police say Thornton killed eight people at the warehouse Tuesday and wounded two others before fatally shooting himself.

Davis says authorities recovered two 9 mm handguns from the warehouse and a shotgun from Thornton's car. He says the guns were registered legally, and the shotgun apparently wasn't used.

Very sad what happened. I believe it was a Budweiser Distributor. The guy gets caught stealing and decides, well let me shoot and kill some people because I`m a low life scumball.

What a tragedy, and very sad to hear about this. When are we going to get very strict about gun laws & firearms? Your hearing more about these cases then ever before, something should be done.

This is 15 minutes from me. A friend drove for them a couple years ago and lost his job because of a DUI. He moved on and found another job. What this guy did requires a crossed wire in your head to understand.

My local news channels had some reports about the killer being the target of racism within the warehouse.

WTF does that have to do with him being on camera stealing beer?

nothing, but could explain why he took other lives with his. not saying that i approve of what he does if that was the case but thats why i always try to treat people with respect or at least be cordial to them, never know what kinda crazy you're gonna run into.
