do you all think its about time to start buying into some of these financial stocks before they pass the bill and you miss out on 5-10 dollars on a jump before the market opens or before the inside news gets traded before you have a chance to react. i really think they are gonna get this thing passed and soon if not thurs. just curious as to what you all think about it.

is it supposed to be passed today or next thursday? anyone in particular that you are looking at? i dont know enough about the markets to make a worthy comment. i would say yes. lots of people jumped out and lots will jump back in if this thing passes. how confident are you that this will pass? the news portrays it that its 50/50 to pass

i think they are gonna pass some form of bill soon might not be the 700 bil. they were looking for but prolly like 4-5 bil. they are so scared of what will happen if they dont do something so im sure they are gonna pump some more money into the markets. but who knows how effective it will be since they been pumping money into for awhile now and nothing has really changed it just prolonged the inevitable. but it might make it all surge for the short term

I am personally on the sidelines. If most were so sure a high amount would pass the financials would of ran already. I don't think there will be a huge run up like you think because it has already been talked about and you saw the huge turnaround day already from the news it might happen already with a day or so of follow through. Everyone knows the Financials are still trash and this bail out is retarded. You may get a little movement but I think the big run already happened. JMO. I don't like to trade for the most part guessing because thats where you get burned. What if the bailout is less than most think, then what do u think will happen. To much uncertaintly right now. yeah ive been on the sidelines for awhile now just made my first trade in weeks buying that small position in RIMM. i was just wanting everyone elses thoughts on it though. i put 4-5 bil in my post i meant 400-500 bil. and from what they are saying now its gonna be installments or something. but i also think its just gonna prolong that fact that they are gonna fall. when and if they lift that short ban i guess we'll find out.
