Question Being on the right side of a losing bet

You hear that a lot so is it possible. Can you be on the right side of a losing bet? Thoughts?

absolutely

I have had at least 2 if not 3 NFL picks lately

GB the other week minus 2.5 , they had it all the way , even in ot to win by 3

same with Balty this last week against NE

I feel I had the right sides, but lost... such the way it is in the gambling world... its just that you dont remember the W's as much as the losses

My biggest one yet though, was US REED hitting a half court shot at the buzzer to beat me out of 400 .. It misses , I win, if it goes, I lose, it went , I lost

There is never a thing of being on the right side of a losing bet. I am sorry, but a loss is a loss.

Even when Kansas beat Memphis (was my worst beat ever i think) when it was all said and done Kansas was the right side, they cashed the ticket.

What about playing an under that ultimately only goes over due to extra time.

I'm not disagreeing with you...just stating thats when I feel I was on the right side of losing bet.

Most recently I felt this way when the SF DB didnt go down at the end of the game and ultimately fumbled which led to an Atlanta game winning FG.

Another instance where I felt I was on the "right side of a losing bet" was last year when I played an NBA game to go under along with the 2h and the game ended up in OT costing me both bets.

The right side is the winning side 100% of the time but in a few instances every year we are left scratching our heads

I think you make bets where you have the right thought process. it was a sound play and you have good odds but it can come up short because of a bounce of a ball or something happened.

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PICKING GOLF WINNERS
1. CLOSER with CHARACTER. Certain guys see the finish line and cross it and others are destined for second place.
2. RELAXED CONFIDENCE, FOCUS and a HUNGER to win. It's a mental game and their mind has to be in the right frame with a determination and focus. As Harry Vardon said: "To play well you must feel tranquil and at peace. I have never been troubled by nerves in golf because I felt I had nothing to lose and everything to gain."
3. COURSE. Does the course layout favor the strengths of the golfer and does it expose their weaknesses. Previous form can change immediately for those who feel comfortable on a course and its greens.

A few weeks ago KC led SF 31-3. With less than 2 minutes in the game, the Niners are driving 80yds including call 3 timeouts to stop the clock. The last timeout was with less than 10 ticks on the clock. On the final play of the game, Alex Smith throws a TD to Morgan. Fuked my under 37 bet. I thought I was on the right side, but still lost.....FUK you Singletary.....

Obviously, you can't be on the "right" side of a lost bet. It's just another phrase that means "unlucky". We've all seen both sides, I'm sure.

Another thought here........This year on multiple occasions I was on a MLB overs and the game was called due to rain making it "no action". Most of the time there were almost no runs being scored. I was on the right side in these cases......
