Question best golf clubs for beginner

not looking for anything too fancy. won't be playing serious anytime soon and when i do will just add/replace clubs as i go. ive only been a couple times and borrowed but plan on going a bunch this season

just have a driver right now, don't even know what kind it is lol. heard i could maybe spend around $200ish for a decent set +bag at dicks. not looking to spend much more than that as of now, and don't need a million clubs

dick's sends me e-mails of weekly specials. this week callaway x-18r irons are on sale for $299.

you may want to consider a set that includes multiple hybrids. they tend to be a little easier to hit vs. 3,4 possibly 5 irons. adams is also a good quality, low cost option.

Totally agree. Great starter club. I played with them for a couple years when I got back into golf.

Ps. I have a tour bag TA 845
90% leather used twice and I'll throw in over a hundred tees and a hard shell water bottle for $85 plus shipping

Buy a used set.. golf clubs are like cars ..Lose value and fast once out of the shop.. Tons of places to buy used clubs.. Just bought a set of last years Calloway irons for 60% off and were used a handfull of times.. Irons are a hardy bunch.. Make sure shaft is right for your swing and go to town..

If you are ever looking for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, take a look at play it again sports. I was looking for a driver since I cannot hit many drivers well, so i went there and they let you go and practice with the club for 48 hours and see if you like it or not, then you may exchange or get your money back.

I was thinking this. i def do not need a new set as im prob gonna be dinging them up with poor swings and whatnot.

I have the same thinking with cars. I would NEVER buy a new car, because like you said value shoots way down right when it leaves the lot
