Best place to get NBA tickets ? Knicks..?

Wanting to get someone a trip in the city for a night, and some tickets to a knick game for xmas. Anyone know the best(cheapest) way to go ? Maybe a coupon code/trick for ticketmaster or one of the many sites that sell tickets now ? Also trying to get a good/decent seat, but obviously not floor seating or anything...way too much $ there for me... its for a family member that has been through a lot, and has some health problems.. so I want it to be something somewhat special.

Anyone with any advice let me know..

Thanks!

I think stub hub is the way to go, as you can find tickets for anything there. Sometimes your able to get a good section & seat for a fair price.

here's my advice as someone who has attended quite a few nba games, including the knicks when i lived in nyc. i just recently got some sold out hawk tickets, and some bull tickets through ebay. ebay gives the best chance to not pay above ticket price. if you don't mind the extra cost then stubhub is my place of purchase. good luck. love madison square garden.

I prefer ticket liquidator to stub hub personally.

Once I was lucky and actually knew the person selling the tickets on TL and got them delivered to me directly instead of paying for shipping.

Depending on the event and who is playing is what decides if you pay more or less than face value though.

eBay or the guys on the street.

LMAO @ the Hawks game selling out. Parents live in ATL so I'm there all the time. Almost always go to a Hawks game and have never paid more than $40 for lower level seats.
