Best poker games (that aren't Texas Hold'em)

We play: Jacks or Better, Trips to Win 5-card draw around here.

Also, a game called Gillette:
Same as above but you gotta win 3 times to win the pot.

What do you guys play?

Jacks or better is cool bob....you get some huge pots in that game.

Another good game to play while sitting around boozing is acey-deucey...you get 2 cards up and bet how much you want on whether the 3rd card is between the first 2 cards.

I know the game well - as does my wallet. Nothing ruins your day more than an Ace-Duece and the next card is an Ace.... - Pots can get HUGE in that game as well

we had a 1100 acey ducey pot on a baseball trip to florida once. that game is the devil

That game is the devil. Everytime I get rimmed jobbed on that crap. A comes up I call high and then a 3 shows. And the next card 3. And I have to put double the pot in there. But it is great times when it doesn't happen to you.


But we play follow the queen alot when we are just playing dealer calls. Or low hold wild.

i like follow the queen quite a bit. Acey Deucey is the devil. seems like every collegiate sports team plays it in the bus to away games.

We play a progressive 5 card game where everyone gets dealt 4 cards and there is one community card. You commit to being in or out when it is your turn and have to match the pot if you are in. If you are in you can draw up to two cards and then the best hand takes it and the losers match the pot. Gets out of control real quick.
