Thumbs up Best restaurant / Bar meal where you live?

Its a no brainer for me. We have here a bar/restaurant called Speights Ale house, there are quite a few around the country.

Best I have been to NZ. Meals are large in size. Large selection, with many of the dead animals covered Reasonably priced most meals between $15-$40.
Large spacious dining areas. Young, mostly pleasent on the eye staff.

What for you, If you can only name one?

well, if it's about celebrations or big anniversaries... the answer must be: the citadel in berlin

eating and celebrating as in the middle age, with just a knife and all you can eat and drink... ofc it's all meals from the middle and north european area...

the bigger the groups, the more fun... nothing for candle light dinner style....

best bar? can't name one... impossible

well, maybe i can use that list later one... a friend plans to marry next year's september and just before that we plan to go on a longer travel, cruising through the USA was one idea... putting some needles at the best bars and following the lines could be a nice suggestion.

Gotta agree w/ Windy, Chicago's got a ton of places, if your willing to look around. Just went a place in the burbs (Lake in the Hills, IL) called Govnor's. They make their own beer and the food was an awesome deal for the price.

Dallas is a melting pot, so there are all kinds - prob like Chi-town...

I really like Tex/Mex, but pretty much every thing is game.

I'm going with a local fav (Flower Mound 'burb of Dallas)... The Grotto (italian Steakhouse).

The Steak Salerno is absolutely awesome - either a starter or the dinner....
starter - thin slices of filet on little slices of bread with a roasted garlic gravy/cream sauce (brown), full roasted garlic cloves included - $20 for the starter (worth it) _ 25 for the dinner.

Also, love the steamed black mussels - butter, garlic, and parmesan sprinkles on top. Big, big bowl of them - only $10

just about anything is great. We know the Chef, and he'll pretty much cook anything to order - just describe what you might like.

Don't knock my Red Lobster. It's the best value for my buck and enables me to place bets while entertaining a date to the max.
