Best way to judge a Handicapper/Poster

So basically I'm asking if you were looking to tail someone, what would you use as your barometer? Units or percentage? Or some combo?

This one has been debated and curious what others think. I personally think the best way is based on a 1Unit pure precentage basis. You can't go by units IMO because there are too many clowns that love to make all their plays 50 Units 35 Units, 30 Units, 20 Units etc... instead of like the normal 3 units, 2 units etc... Only problem though is it doesn't give creedence to a guy who is really good on his big plays. Nightcap (purdue homo lol) is fantastic on his 5* plays going like 11-2 on them and that wouldn't be factored in, though, if you just gave him a pure percentage deal.

I just don't like going by units because especially people on these forums (and there are a lot of them on here) who like to grandstand and make 100 unit plays, 50 unit plays, 35 unit plays etc....it skews the deal, plus it doesn't take into account a guy who goes 1-5 in the NFL and then chases Sunday night to get back to even. So he's 2-5 but even par for the day. You can have some clown who is 3-2 and up 80 Units and another guy who is 5-1 and up 3.9 Units and it skews it IMO.

Really curious to hear what some people think.

you are just going to have to get to know some guys and their units

seriously... If you are going to tail someone, then tail them... but I think you ought to cap the game yourself - whether it be before or after you see the guy you tail is playing it... if you like it play it... if you don't like it, don't play it or maybe play it small if you're feenin for some action...

then maybe one day, you'll be good enough to cap on your own...

IMO

I play all games equally, if you are putting money down then it should be just as strong as the others. So I would look at overall win percentage...

My advice. Look for someone who is decent over the long haul. I'm talking 4 years or more, day in day out. May have losing weeks but produces the results over the long run.

Too many people come here, get hot over a month or a year and think along with their followers that they are God's gift to capping.
