Betfair iPad betting app is the first of its kind

Although there’s an iPhone app already in the App Store from Betfair, the new, specially designed iPad version is the first to make it’s way on to the big screen. Ok ok, the medium-sized screen.

Betfair is the world’s largest online sports betting company and its new iPad app will allow iPad users in the UK and Ireland to browse odds, place bets and check outcomes all from the comfort of wherever they happen to be with their iPad.

The app itself is free, but of course the bets are not. In fact, it wasn’t until recently that Apple actually allowed any gambling apps that use real money in its App Store. Since Bookmakers like Betfair and Paddy Power have had their iPhone apps approved, tech savvy punters have been lapping it up.
Do be careful though. The more convenient your access to bookies, the more likely you are to place bets. Without meaning to employ hyperbole, gambling can be addictive and can ruin lives.
