Betfair IPO, profiled in the Wall Street Journal
David Yu and Betfair are profiled in The Wall Street Journal. Yu says: “If we think that it [an IPO] is the right thing for us then we will certainly consider it,” he says. “We are in a great position because we do not have to go public. The company has no debt and is very cash-generative. We have a very strong balance sheet, therefore a lot of options are open to us.” Yu also discusses potential moves into the US market, LMAX and how betting on football could outstrip betting on horseracing over time
