Betus billboards in Akron, OH

I was just driving home tonight and I saw a betus billboard all lit up. It made a reference to the Browns, who play about 30 minutes from here, and Art Modell, former owner who moved Browns to Balt. to become Ravens. Then it said your number 1 sportsbook. This is a pretty bold move in my opinion, considering all that's going on, and this sign is pretty new, because it's on a road I would drive on alot when I'd come home from the University of Akron, and I never saw it before. This is what angers the feds so much. Not only are they advertising a sportsbook, not even a .net poker teaching site, but they are putting it right near a college.

They have them all over Philadelphia suburbs near Villanova,Penn,Drexel
I think they bealive they can get away with it by having .NET
What it tells me is that they are clueless and maybe we want the feds to shut these sites down, that way we know are $ are at sites run by the compitant(and sneaky) and not at the sites run by morons

It's on State road, between Akron and Cuyahoga Falls. If you are coming from Campus to Cuyahoga Falls going north, it's on the right hand side. You wouldn't be able to see it if your going south. At least they didn't try to put it on the highway, that would really be asking for it.

Yeah that's pretty close, steel corners runs into State, so just keep going south until you reach North Savings bank, then turn around and go north and you'll see it. And it's not advertising a .net. It's basically saying, bet on the browns here. I only live 10 minutes from there I may take a ditigal and post it, just saw it today.

Maybe the Feds are trying to get the leftovers. There was a big bust in Medina. This part of the country is big into gambling. Youngstown too.

yeah, Ohio is really bad with illegal sportsbetting. Youngstown is huge as is Alliance, and other parts. In 2004, Bruce Drennan as sports talk show host was raided and arrested. I also think there was alot of bookies here who used the betonsports accounts. I know of one guy who did.

And Ohio continues to be an armpit of a state and instead of legalizing it and taxing it the religious politicians say no but in the meantime they get indicted on fraud, etc. Everybody drives to Detroit and Niagara Falls.

Its got to be a set-up! Advertising to bet on the Browns game? That seems like a ploy that only an agent would pull!

Not meaning to disagree with you...but the locale mentioned in Cleveland and perhaps Akron are where the good-paying jobs reside($26/hour)...Ford Casting Plant at Brookpark and Chevrolet Blvd....Shiloh at W.130th and Brookpark($19/hour)

Lot of betting action on OSU NCAAFB at the moment...target of opportunity for BetUS

Yes, I am sure the marketing dept targeted this area for that. I am just a paranoid type of person so I always go w/ a set-up first.

There is major betting in those plants.

I know...my ex-bookie Roy,recently deceased, if he had any hair in the first place, would yank it out if he heard CRIS one more time at his restaurant/bar.

I got a better view of the sign today, it does say .net in the bottom left corner. I have to think it's a marketing strategy. They are not put up near highways it appears, and they are put in strategic locations, near factories and a university. Someone else said they had them in Phila as well. One thing I'm certain they won't park a bus outside the stadium and take bets.
