Biggest Choke Artists in Sports History?

After a season of choking dogs at majors this year, along with the Celtics blowing a lead in Game 7 of the NBA finals, Favre and Manning throwing devestating interceptions in the playoffs and Super Bowl, and the Butler Bulldogs missing a wide open three (kidding) to win the NCAA title, this has to be a great time to bring this discussion up.....

Greg Norman still number 1?

Biggest individual in sports history

Jean Van de Velde in British Open, Go back and look at the tape

He could have literally thrown the ball to the hole and got a better score.

The biggest mental meltdown in sports history

There's a difference between making a physical error and making numerous brain cramps

I'll never forget that one.

Have actually heard a few interviews with pro golfers talking about him and they all talk very highly of him, of his golf game and him as a person.

Sad he will always be remembered for that.
When in reality an occasional meltdown can happen to anyone.
When it happens often that is when you are talking of the real chockers.

Hard to differentiate between individuals and team sports. There are teams that have histories of choking, but different people on the team makes it hard to evaluate. Easier to evaluate individuals.

Norman would be my number one habitual choker, especially with his talent
