Agree, 1980 USA hockey is a solid choice.

Another Olympic win should at least be on the list: USA's Rulon Gardner beating the wrestling champ Alexander Karelin, known as The Russian Bear, to win Olympic Gold. That guy hadn't lost to anyone in over 13 years at the time, I believe, and hadn't given up a single point in over 6 years.

I also still think that App St winning in the Big House as a 4-TD dog was pretty amazing.

The crazy thing about this game is that it was only the 3rd biggest upset of the year according to the spreads.

Michigan was a 32 point favorite (only at a few select books that offered a line). Later that year Louisville got beat by Syracuse as a 37 point favorite, and then Stanford beat USC as 41 point dogs.

Talk about some good moneyline action!!
