Blacks and swimming

I'm curious as to what everyone's experiences are with regards to blacks and swimming... if you are black it would be great to hear your own experiences with swimming...

i've read that there is a higher density of muscle and bone mass, which is great for a lot of other sports but makes it harder to stay afloat...

other things i've read are that it might involve the lungs or ankles, the way that they possibly work a little differently...

also read that the percentage of blacks in the special forces is relatively low because of the difficult swim test, which they find much harder to complete...

is the general absence of blacks from swimming competitions mostly due to societal or other issues, or is there a real biological reason that they in general can't compete as well, just as whites are not found in the highest levels of sprinting competitions because of the lower percentage of fast-twitch muscle?

Cullen Jones is an exception to all of this though...

My guess is that the biological difference is negligible at best and wouldn't stop any black person who endeavored to conquer the sport. It may simply be a case of swimming not being highly valued in their social circles or because they don't have access to the proper facilities needed to train to competition level.

i had a fear of drowning when i was a kid but i taught myself how to swim so that i wouldn't...

from what i've read of other's experiences, when a large group of trainees in the army or something all had to jump in the water, many blacks just sunk and had to be rescued out...

i wonder how much has to do with the denser bone and muscle mass, and how much has to do with just lack of practice...

is there anyone here that can confirm if they just sink instead of float?

it comes down to if you were taught to swim or not when you were young. you're gonna sink and drown no matter what color of skin you are if you dont know how to swim. its very simple to understand

During bootcamp I have watched people become terrified of the swim qual, especially when they have to jump off the platform into the water. Also, I have worked with many dark green Marines in Force and there is a scuba qual to become a Force Marine. My experience when I worked in as an inner city lifeguard was many weren't taught how to swim and those were the ones afraid to swim. Ones that could swim in some degree, did it recreationally, not competitively, and only for short periods of time. They were more interested in other activities.

Its baggage from their early African Ancestors getting trichinella by swimming in the water where they would dump their trash heeps. Any such person who had an innate "fear" of swimming or had no inclination to swim would reproduce differentially because of less exposure to the parasite

ive seen hundreds of black penis's, maybe thousands and there is no size difference overall vs the thousands of white penis's i have seen
