Bodog Changes Tourneys

FYI.........BODOG MAKES CHANGES IN THEIR GUARANTEED TOURNAMENTS.

I usually play the super stack tourney in the morning $15+1 with a guarantee of 2.5k prize money, which this morning has dropped to 1.5k guarantee. The first place $$ has gone from $750 to a whopping $450, overnight. The 1pm Super stack tournament dropped from 5k to 3 k.

Callled Bodog and asked what's up....was given a wishy washy answer.
They have made the change for now....see how it works out after they run the "numbers" and may revert back after feedback.

Sneaky to say the least....The reason for playing at Bodog and in those particular tourneys is for the overlays and the great payout odds for the player. I URGE ANY BODOG POKER PLAYERS TO CALL AND EXPRESS YOUR DISPLEASURE WITH THIS CURRENT SITUATION.
Makes you think.... ...lower prize pool....just got hit with a 49mil suit............. hmmm

probably right...guaranteed money means if not enough money to make up the amt in the pool, the house kicks it in...they never want to do that...and by advertising the guarantee it attracts more people...but in this case there is a lack of response, so they match the amt the least amt of people they think will enter...poker sites do it all the time...ub had many guaranteed tournaments and then they said screw it because of lack of interest and got away from it and just made them reg tournaments...they dont feel like eating the bulk of the prize pool

Never played on Bodog, but I'm sure it's cool.

Just wanted to add that pokerstars does this all the time with some huge gaurantees. For me personally can't imagine playing anywhere else.
Great service, great site.
