Bodog Live......New Wave Wagering...or New Addiction

FIRST LET ME SAY THAT THE PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD IS NOT TO ENDORSE OR CONDENM BODOG LIVE, RATHER TO GET OTHERS OPINIONS ABOUT THIS NEW FORM OF WAGERING. THE FOLLOWING IS MY EXPERIENCE........................................ .................

Last night's MNF game Bears vs Rams, was a pass for me, rare for a MNF game, but I just didn't like a side or total. While checking the NFL lines at Bodog, I came across a tab called BODOG LIVE, so I clicked it, curious to know what it was about. Well pandora's box was opened!!! For those who are not aware Bodog live , in a nutshell, is wagering on every play. You can bet on whether the next play is a run, pass completion or a pass incompletion, with the odds constantly changing, depending on what happened the play before and the situation, the team on offense, finds itself.
You can also place a wager on whether or not the offensive team will get a first down , will the drive result in a TD score, FG, or no score at all. Plus on kickoffs where will the drive start, after the kickoff return.
I have limited experience in this form of wagering , usually at my cousin's Superbowl parties, where we wager like this on prop bets, during the game.
Gets so crazy, the living room resembles the stock market floor at Wall street.
So I jump in the action, playing the lowest limit possible $5, just to test the waters. I wager the next play will be a rush, I'm getting odds, because its a
2nd down and 12, and seems like an obvious passing situation, but not to me......come on let it be a run....boom...handoff..I turn $5 into a $13.50 profit!!! This shit is to easy, I think to myself...I know football!!!!! This is going to be easy money! I proceed to lose the next four bets, giving the profit back, and then some. Back and forth I do battle with this MONSTER all night till the game ends. I'm sweating ... running back and forth from the tv screen in the living room to my computer screen, like some madman on crack, living and dying with each play. (Suggestion: You need a laptop or NFL game feed on your computer, to be more comfortable) But that doesn't stop me, I make a wager and run to the TV to see if it wins or not. By the end of the night I am severely dehydrated, in a pool of sweat and down $8 bucks!
Shit I hate to lose!!! On the positive, I think I dropped a few pounds and had the longest adrenaline rush ever! But I' m scared...real scared.....the MONSTER is calling.......and I might just answer.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So there it is .....wondering if others have jumped in as well. Like to hear opinions on whether this is a good form of wagering or gimmick. Maybe you system guys here , at the mall , can find patterns on teams..when they run, pass, etc....coming up with some profitable wagering situations.
In all the madness...I think I have discovered a way to beat this type of wagering......If only I could get a copy of a NFl Coach's first twenty scripted plays.....then I really would know football!!!
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL

I think if this type of wagering is available for the Wake Forest Bowl Game, you could have a gold mine.

I have done Live Wagering in the past on other sites and used BoDogs on Sunday night. I have found that you can be successful if you pick your spots. Trying to predict or play on every play is a losing formula. You also have to watch the odds, they get pretty poor in some situations.

I think it is a really fun and entertaining way to watch a game if you can do it without losing too much. You will really see how crazy the NFL is playing Live Wagering.

Also, on BoDog you can reduce your wager down to $1 if you wish.

What a great post. I had a real good laugh reading the whole thing. Are you a writer in real life? I believe for myself this could become a real addiction. I don't pick enough football winners but I think I know how Football should be played so I will try this new live waggering

I have been there. Not on BODOG but another London based book.

They have live-betting on all kinds of sports. I got addicted to cricket and soccer.

I don't do it much anymore mainly because I mostly lost money.

It's very addictive yes. I have come to conclude that it would have be more profitable for me had I choose my moments better, making far fewer bets but much larger bets. But truth be known, when that moment came, I didn't have the stones to push the "send" button.

Becareful with this.

I glanced at it this past monday night. you have to be real quick though. not much time to make a choice before the next wager comes up. i like it, but did not try it. i will this weekend.
