Book(ie)errors in your favor.do you tell them ?

Many years ago when we would meet up every Wednesday night to settle up , I remember getting some cash ready to pay up my losses.
When I got there, he grabbed his book, reached into his wallet, and paid me X amount of dollars

I don't really remember how much the difference was or how he made the mistake, but I took politiely took the cash and asked no questions.

It bothered me a bit, but I figured that I must have made the mistake, although I don't think so,

ANyone else have that happened in your favor and what did you do about it ?

I know when it was not in my favor, we went over it tooth and comb

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Hell no. He is out to take every advantage of you he can. You have to play HIS games that he puts up. You have to play by his lines and rules. On top of that you pay him 10% of your losses. Fvk him if he makes a mistake or 2. That is why you are paying the a**hole 10% every week. It is his job to keep the books correct. Not your problem, it is his. This has nothing to do with honesty or conscience. This is a business for him and he needs to do his job correctly. You call him everyday and he gives you a figure, if the figure sounds good to you, move on.

If its an online book, I wouldnt say anything... Well, unless it was a CM sponsor of course

If it is someone you know personally, I would definitely say something.

Sure did secondbase. A local I used for years gave me an envelope on a Tuesday morning that felt way to heavy for my weeks action. I opened it and started skimming through the hundreds. He asked me if there was a problem with the money. I said yes. He said what is it. I said you owe me $17.50 not$1,750.00 that is in the envelope. He has since passed away and he was an honest and fair man that I dealt with for many years.

Yes I would tell him. I have had over the years called in an Over and cheered the team over, then go to get paid, and not only do i not get my money, but i owe him money. he looks it up and it says under. Had that happen a couple times and we called it a push.

we actually did settle up pretty much each week... but we made the trip to also get the Sheets for the upcoming weekend.

Ours was about a 30 minute drive, so on the way home we would already start our pickin and discussion.

It was much more 'real' back then imho ,and it really was you against the book, although our guy just passed on his ' extra' and basically made the vig

It did not matter what the amount was. We always did it that way unless I was out of of town. In that case whoever won or owed money would get carried over to the next Tuesday or whenever I got back to see him on a Tuesday.
