BP asks US Government

BP asks to reume drilling in the Gulf on 10 current platforms.
As we all know the so called worst economic disaster in the history of the world never materialized. It was over blown and the effects were no where near all the so called experts predictions. The real experts were ignored and impuned when they discussed what would happen but turned out to be correct.
Let them Drill

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Funny, diesel hits $4/gal w/ Bush at the helm and the dems called for his head. Well, diesel @ $4+/gal now and not 1 word is being said.

FWIW, I'm in the trucking industry. What we moved for $1.80/mile 3 months ago is now $3+/mile. YOU AND I will be paying for this, FYI.

with the difference that oil prices are being affected by the political problems in the middle east and the japan earthquake.
Although the earthquake should actually reduce the price of oil since the demand there should be lower, resulting in an increase of supply.

It comes down to big oil companies being greedy and raising prices. And now that summer is coming, expect it to go up again at least 10%.

Its not just not the greedy oil companies that are to blame (just watch in another 2 months or soI predict gas will be 4.50/gal) but its also the oil speculators on Wall Street.

I certainly think that BP is responsible for the incident. I also think they are continuing to pay for it. They also have not tried to divert responsibility to someone else. Unless you feel they should go under they have to have revenue coming in...

I would say to BP for the next 10 years you can only sell the oil produced from this location to the US at a pre-determined price with gradual increases below market value for that length of time. Tell them they have to maintain a set production so they do not hold back.

They should take it since they have the equipment already there....

Name another company who has stepped up after a disaster like this???? Not saying they have been perfect but they have not run.

Plenty of oil in Alaska and off-shore but regulations prohibit drilling for it -- let's save some tundra while the entire population suffers as a result...
Yes, there is a green movement in America -- it's called Wall Street...

Drilling would mean jobs for a few thousand Americans, but wouldn't really put a dent in the 18- or 19-percent real unemployment, and it wouldn't help the Obama regime's plan to get gas up to $7 or more per gallon to force us off of fossil fuels or collapse the economy, whichever comes first.

Nah, you give millions and billions of dollars to Brazil so they can drill in the gulf. Then you get in a bidding war with China, India, and other nations so you have to pay top dollar to get the oil Brazil produces. Its the new "hope and change" American way.
