Brag About Your Town

Ok everyone lets start a little discussion on why your town is better then everyone else.

What is so unique or different about your town?

Do you have someone famous that grew up there?

Is it the 1st to do something special?

Tell us something cool about your town that you raised the majority of your life.

I honestly don't have much to brag about but wanted to see what everyone else has.

Mine is this;
The town i grew up in has 0.4 square miles, all of it land. This ranks in the top 3 smallest towns in Minnesota.

I grew up in oakville Ontario. Outside of Toronto. Home of glen abbey/ cdn open golf event. Home to mike vanderjagt, Steve Christie, the incredible bulk/bust and donavon Bailey. Most notably The Sports Profit.

I graduated 4th in my class...outta 6.

When I was a senior we had 24 kids in HS. This was in the 80's. The school's last graduating class was in 2009, 1 student.

We didn't have pavement. 1/4 mile square was the "main drag" around town. Track practice was run 1 lap for a mile or 2 laps for 2 miles.

Everyone had a gun in their back window and nobody locked their doors--cars or house.

The local bar had a coffee can w/ change and a price sheet on the bar as you walked in. You got your drinks and paid your bills. Bar is still open.
