Brain teaser

I am sending this to my smart friends.. I could not figure it out and had to look at the answer. See if you can figure out what these words have in common.

1 Banana
2 Dresser
3 Grammar
4 Potato
5 Revive
6 Uneven
7 Assess

Are you peeking or have you already given up?
Give it another try . Look at each word carefully.

(You'll kick yourself when you discover the answer.)
This Is Cool.

Answer: No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double letters.

Answer:
In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

No one would get this unless it mentioned beforehand that it was not that they have 2 double letter then maybe. Any logical person would come up with this first only to scroll to the answer and have it ruined lol.

Okay, I got it. But what about those of us that do not type properly?
And with texting the latest wave of communication, this one really isn't all that good. Plus, I often hit the "b" key with my right hand on a qwerty keyboard.

I never would have gotten this one, and I don't like it. Those words have absolutely nothing non-trivial in common pre-1870 and now post 2008 in my opinion.

i have used that about 4 months ago, when i designed some 'typewriting test' and we tried to manipulate the results by using words that needed more left hand typing and it's influence on the results.

was pretty funny... and stewardesses is the longest word of those if i remember correctly. anyways, i knew Bob wasn't from the business and typing alot, so i was pretty sure he wouldnt find out without help...

My answer was the 2nd and last letter were the same in all words...
