American Cities' Brainpower Which community boasts the highest concentration of brainpower -- and therefore can claim to be America's smartest big city? The answer is Seattle, according to a new study by Bizjournals.com. An analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data puts Seattle's No. 1 ranking in perspective: Forty-seven percent of Seattle's adults hold bachelor's degrees, the strongest proportion of college-educated residents in any big city. It's nearly double the U.S. average of 24.4 percent. Included in the link is a list of medium, and small cities, as well as the bottom 10 1 Seattle Wash. 2 San Francisco Calif. 3 Austin Texas 4 Colorado Springs Colo. 5 Minneapolis Minn. 6 Charlotte N.C. 7 San Diego Calif 8 Washington D.C. 9 Portland Ore 10 Albuquerque N.M.

blaze I went to college in Albuq as well, Sandia labs brings in the super nerds with Phd's and really throws off the curve! The nerds swarm to Abq because of this.
