Yeah, this is horrible

Highway is located between the Metrodome and the University of Minnesota

Don't know if heat had anything to do with it. It's been very hot for about 2 weeks here

Sure there are quite a few fatalities

RIP

I Just Saw A Pic Of It Unbelievable Looking. They Said The Highway Has Been Under Construction For A Few Months. A Shool Bus With 30 Kids In It Stopped Just Before It Went Over The Edge. This Is Surreal Looking

2 fatalities so far according to reports. Sad news. Just goes to show how fragile life is, blink of an eye and lives changed forever.

Gerk, that river doesnt look real deep but the pics I saw may be deceiving. Is it rather shallow? Rivers around here are quite diiferent, That would happen on one of our main bridges during rush hour and you would be talking huge numbers of losses.

RPM,

Don't believe it's real deep comparatively to other parts of the Mississippi, but I think it's deep enough that it probably won't help

I would never try to minimize the tragedy. Hopefully some of the people who ended up in the river had a chance to escape. Still an awful story.

I know what you meant, If your car fell, I think you were probably not going to make it, The bridge was fairly high. People actually commited suicide off the bridge, if it's where I think it was
