Call of Duty 4 (PS3 / XBOX 360) Best Game in Years

I've been a gamer all my life, starting with pong. I have played just about everything, and would argue that Grand Theft Auto is the benchmark for great games.

I've been playing Call of Duty 4 for about 2 weeks now. I just want to say that if you don't own this game, and own one of these systems, you are missing out on the single best game I have played in over 2 years.

It is a shooter, taking place in modern times where there is a nuclear launch pending and you must work with british SAS and American Marine forces to achieve all kinds of amazing missions.

This game takes first person shooters to a level that frankly i did not think was possible. I am becoming a better soldier as I play!

BUY THIS GAME! If you don't own a PS3, you now have a reason to buy one. Just like GTA made buying a PS2 worthwhile, COD4 will blow your mind on PS3. 1080p graphics, surround sound that moves as you do, and the most perfect military sim you have ever played. Modern weaponry with flawless controls...night vision, grenade launchers, etc.

Immersive...not just frontal attacks, but stealth infiltration, sniper fire, gunship support, incredible...BUY THIS GAME.

I havent' even gotten online yet. The single player game is so immersive, so modern and so damn impressive you gotta get it. I'll send you $60 if you don't like it -- that's how good it is! This one goes to 11

lol. its a good game bud. graphics are great. gets kinda of repetive though. u can use the counter move and just kill like 20 plus guys that are attacking you one by one. i would buy used definately if i didnt already buy it new

i guarantee you'll really like this game. if you liked black, the medal of honor games, james bond, call of duty 1/2/3, or if you could even stand to play any of darkness....this game crushes them all, even halo is weak in comparsion, this will force all others to rise to the new standard

as usual the reviewers complain it is too short but wtf, they all play on easy mode so they can brag about finishing in 6-8 hours...i've been playing a lot more than that and i think i'm close to done but WOW the 5.1 surround is the best sound in a game

no FMV to game transitions either, the graphics are so good that when you fly in on what would usually be a FMV, you actually play that part too and alright enough, buy it
