Can you seperate 'fan' from handicapper when it matters?

When I make bets I put a ton of time and research into them to determine just the slightest edge so that I can remain profitable.....when a team I hate or a player I hate is involved, I throw it all out the window and bet against (tOSU, Steelers, Lance Armstrong)......

Anyone else have trouble seperating the two, or betting on a team they root against, or against a team they root for?

I`ve been betting on sports since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Teams or players that I like or dislike has no factor at all the way I handicap a game.

I try to be objective but end of day prefer to stay away from those teams.

I find it hard to bet on my teams. Never really bet on them or against them, really dont even think about it.

Dont really have a problem betting on teams I hate though. Money is money

Sometimes I struggle more with teams I hate. With Dolphins for example I can be somewhat objective but I usually think Jets suck so it could get in way.

but do you ever bet against your team? even when the handicapping tells you the edge is with their opponent? or just not bet the game?

I have bet against my team on several occasions but I still prefer and mostly do stay away from them.

I actually do better when I bet for or against teams I liike. I tend to follow them more then a random team, so it gives me a little bit better insight in their abilities. At the end of the day its about money.

How about when you get into a groove betting a hot team....happened with the nuggets this year covering a ton of games in a row....even after the lines adjusted to them playing better, it became tough to bet against them because of how much they had won.....

I had zero doubt in my mind the Packers were winning the Lombardi and it made it sweeter the steelers were the victims , but seriously I stay away from team I like or dislike for a fear I cant trust myself to be objective, usually, not always, sometimes those factors make it clearer...

Romo first person to use Steelers and victims in the same sentence without including the words 'violent attempted murder', 'violent rape', 'innocent motorists and children put at risk by selfish drunken driver', or 'franchise record 20 former players dying in lower 50's due to team sponsored steroid and drug use'............
