Cappers Mall all-time greatest sports player - Last Player Standing
Okay we will do something similar to the Yankee23 greatest band competition and the greatest sitcom with the greatest all-time sports player. We'll run this like the sitcom one with a last man standing survivor twist.
From now until next Sunday we will take nominations for the greatest sports player ever. This can be a great baseball player, football, basketball, golf, whatever. You do not have to nominate an athlete if someone else already has nominated them. For the nomination round it does not matter how many nominations you get - you just need at least one nomination. You don't need to make a list of 50 nominations - pick your favorite few but if you see one that has not been nominated - feel free to add it later (before Sunday) You can add anyone from any sport Here is how it will work Any player who gets at least one nomination by Sunday evening will move on. I will list them all on next Monday in a poll. The poll will remain open for one week. The top 32 from that list will move on to the next round. On the following Monday we will make a new poll with the top 16 vote getters. From that 16 we will take the top 8. Then we will go to 4 and then 2 before the finals. Each round will last a week. This will take several weeks to complete! So post your nominations for the best player in this thread (past or present). The nominations will end next Sunday night! Is Michael Jordan a lock? Will Tiger give him a run for his money? Can golfers be considered the greatest athlete? How many guys from the steroid era will make this list? Who will be the Cappers Mall greatest sports player
