Depends how one defines "Classic Rock". Some radio stations say it's only from the 80's while others say it's from 60's, 70's and 80's--whatever reached the Billboard 100 at the time but not necessarily stood the test of time through multiple decades. So popular airplay and high record sales seem to be the prominent feature for Classic Rock. Can you think of anything else?

Good point. What is "Classic Rock". When I was a kid I don't think there was such a thing. Buddy Holly maybe? Jerry Lee Lewis? Now that I'm an old f*cker, I'd say the stuff I listened to in high school would have to be Classic Rock -- Metallica, Megadeth, and even the later rock bands like Pantera and Slayer.... ROCK ON!!!
