Cappers Mall Hall of Fame!

It's been approximately 6 years since the Cappers Mall forums opened up and it's time to introduce the Cappers Mall Hall of Fame.

This is not meant to hurt any feelings but rather reward (title & special shirt only for now) the loyal Cappers Mall members who are deserving. I have sought input from many of the current moderators and this is what I have come up with.

In order for someone to be eligible, they must meet a few requirements such as

1. Be a member for a minimum of 5 years. For the first ballot, it was anyone who joined in 2003 or earlier.
2. Must have a minimum of 10,000 posts
3. Must not be in permanent banned status
4. Must have been a contributing member of CappersMall that goes beyond the normal

I have appointed the first 10 members +1 to the CappersMall Hall of Fame

We will appoint a maximum of 5 and no minimum amount of members to the Hall of Fame twice per year. After this time it will be on January 1 and June 1 of every year

Starting with the next one - this is how it will work

The members who meet the first 3 requirements of eligibility will be placed in a list of possible nominations. The members of CappersMall will nominate the top 10 members of this list and the Hall of Fame committee will vote on the nominations to be inducted in to the CM Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame committee will be mixed up between myself and current CM Hall of Fame members. A member must get a minimum of 70% of the votes of the committee to be inducted. In case more than 3 receive 70% of the votes, the 3 highest vote getters will be elected.

Before the next HOF date of 1/1, I will be putting together a small "Veteran's Committee" of myself and a few others, that can write in and add any members to the hall of fame they feel were unjustifiably left out.

The only member I will have made an exception for with the posting numbers and are first member of the CM Hall of Fame is Rambler333

Rambler333 - Dan from Massachusetts and a big New England Patriots fan passed away a couple of years ago. Dan joined on November 27th, 2002 and made his last post on March 23rd, 2006. He finished with 8,778 posts. He was always a positive presence in the forum, was known by those whacky parlays and was just a good, kind person.

Dan was the only member that we as a group discussed. No one knows who is on this list but most are obvious. All 10 of the below members meet the above criteria

The following 10 members will join Dan as the first members inducted in to the CM HOF.

These are listed in alphabetical order

cman - Charter was the second ever moderator at CM and is the longest active moderator. He joined the forums on July 6th, 2002 and currently has 12,397 posts. Although not as active as he once was, cman has always been a contributing member at CM. He is mostly known by wde "War Damn Eagle".

dave nz - The Man from New Zealand has been a member since July 28th, 2003. He currently has 24,995 posts and consistently contributes in most of the forums at CM including the International forum. Dave became a moderator several years ago. Dave has a reputation of taking handicapping very seriously.

Hoosiercatdaddy - Jason joined on February 24th, 2003. He has always been a very active member and has posted games in most of the main sports on a daily basis for over 5 years. He currently has 32,449 posts. He has been a moderator here now for several years. HCD might be most known for being both a Bills and Colts fan and a dominant force when handicapping the WNBA.

iggs111 - Mike joined on September 18th, 2003 and currently has 15,846 posts. I still remember when he first started. He was frustrated at the lack of responses in his thread, something that often sometimes with newbie's but he battled through it and has become a loyal and long time contributing member here at the mall.

Jahred - Jahred joined on 12/31/2002 and currently has 14,260 posts. He is one of the few long time posters from 2002 and has been a great contributing supporter at CM for almost 6 years. He has been a moderator of the baseball forum for several years. Some of the things Jahred might be best known for being a Charger fan, is his quick one liners and being the first known CM stoner.

Keith - Keith joined on 12/28/2003 and currently has 21,945 posts. Keith didn't always contribute on a daily basis in the beginning but has turned in to one of the bigger contributors at CM and especially in the baseball forum. Keith might be one of the more honest, nice guys online!

rda21 - Bob joined the forums on June 26th, 2002. He was the 79th overall registered member at CM. He has won the CM nice guy in multiple years, is always positive and has quietly gone about his business here for 6 years strong. When you think of rda21, you think of the nicest guy at CM.

rmaciasl - rmac joined the forums on October 21st, 2003 and currently has 37,321 posts. Rmac is one of the younger consistent members at CM and has been contributing around school in many sections for a long time. Rmac represents Mexico and might be best known for calling the Soccer forum, the "free money forum".

The Judge - Gregg joined the forums on April 19th, 2003 and currently has 15,542 posts. He has consistently contributed in many sections of the forum and has been moderating at CM for a few years. He might be best known for the "The Docket" and keeping CM viewers informed on online gambling rumors and facts.

Trossi3389 - Dan joined the forum on August 5th, 2003 and currently has 12,864 posts. Dan has consistently contributed in a positive way as a member and later a top moderator for several years. He might be best known for "great smiley's", "flexing", "90% felt" and "bingo"

So those are the first 11 member of the Cappers Mall Hall of Fame. The next induction will be on January 1st, 2009. We are having some special shirts made up shortly so will be touch for exact size if I don't have it already.

Jack forgot that part on the rules listed. Only one Charger fan per decade can be inducted. You either need to change teams or wait until the class of 2018. GL

well since they are winning the sb this year, it will be mandatory to induct all loyal fans...since there will be a lot of bandwagoners
