May is our 5 year anniversary for the forum. For this month only - we'll sponsor the contest and the prizes will be cash & stuff for top 3, free plays through 10th and 11-20 will win CM gear.

I have changed a few minor rules to change it up slightly. Please just read through them. I'll try and remind everyone the first several days


1. Starts May 1st - Ends May 31

2. We will post a thread every morning in this section.

3. You post your best pick of the day. Max of one per day.

4. You must post your line at the time of your post. Please include the full line and make sure it's current. Example - Florida/Philadelphia over 10 +100

5. You must post the game clearly or it will not count. If you are picking a team that can be multiple sports, specify the sport. Please avoid abbreviations and make it as simple and clear as possible.

6. You may use any sport that any legitimate sports book offers a line on. It must be available at a regular, legitimate book. In case of a different time zone the game must be played the day of the POD thread.

7. Odds: In baseball all money lines are scores as posted (dogs and favorites at regular price). All standard run lines are posted at regular price. Example: Yankees -1.5 +125, Redsox +1.5 -145. ALL Alternative run lines and all other types of bets are allowed however, the MAX price given on a DOG will be +200. If you play an alternative run line that pays +280, you will get +200 if the game wins. NO FAVORITES (except baseball ML) over -200 will be allowed at anytime.

8. With rule #7 above in mind - You can use any type of wager/pick you want.

9. All picks will be 1 unit.

10. *** You will be allowed one best bet (per contest) that is worth 3 units. Clearly mark it when you use this game.

11. Once a pick is entered - IT CAN NOT BE CHANGED, modified or deleted. In the case of a rainout or cancellation you can repost a pick. In the case of a pitching change and you marked it "listed" you can make another pick.

12. Pitching changes: You must a pick "listed" if you are listing pitchers. IF you do not mark it, it will be graded as action.

13. Minimum of 20 picks will be required for prizes.

14. You can play any time of the day as long as it's before a game starts. Time Stamp is off slightly. I can clearly tell if you post a game after the game starts. Please don't do it.

15. I will post standings and try to have them done daily. If you notice a mistake, please post the problem in the current standing thread. Please be specific as possible when explaining the mistake.

mostly i've stayed in the Proline/CFL forum
i've never used an online book

if i wish to choose a baseball pick
which line should i use ?

Pinnacle ? - Bodog ? - 5dimes ?

borg - The book I have the most confidence in without a doubt is Bet Jamaica. Plain and simple - top of the my list.

Out of the 3 books you mention here is what I know

Pinnacle - outside US only. They have always been reputable. To be honest since they left the US I don't know what has changed if anything there.

Bodog - I like bodog but if you are in Canada (which I thought you were) they do not accept Canadian residents.

5dimes - I do not use 5dimes nor do I have any contact with them. They have a decent reputation and they are a popular baseball book.
