Casinos in Sante Fe, NM

Going there for a wedding and would like to go a day early for a casino day.

Recommendations on which Casino to visit?

Gracias

I played in one out there but honestly can't remember where it was. I do remember I drove west of the city and it sat out all by itself. Thunderbird???? Think that might have been the name.

It was a crazy experience though. I played poker in a poker room that literally had swinging saloon-style doors to get in and the dealers were playing in the game with us. People were smoking and one of the guys in our game actually had a cowboy hat and a handlebar mustache. I trapped him into going all in when I had a well-masked straight and worried briefly that I might get shot when I flipped up my cards.

They have everything there though....wish I could remember the name, but Thunderbird seems to be ringing a bell.

Tried to find it on google to no avail - this place was really a 'nothing' place - not Buffalo Thunder or Cities of Gold. Think there are more like that if you drive south towards Albuquerque.

buffalo thunder is probably the nicest that is the closest to Santa Fe. If you head down to Albuquerque, I would suggest Sandia. Both have blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, etc. enjoy your trip

I was there last year but I don't remember any casino, lots of art though. There was lots of good ones in Albuquerque, one I really liked was the Route 66 casino, it was a fun place.

Rt. 66 is on the west side of abq, not bad. But there are much better including Sandia and Hard Rock/Isleta. Depend which part of the city you are staying in.
