Chicago Public Schools...

Have lost their mind!!!

20 high schools are offering their freshman $50 an A, $35 for a B and $20 for a C. This is what you get when you have democrats running everything in a city I guess. Absolutely pathetic.

I don't understand how offering an incentive that a student would actually want is pathetic at all. I'm guessing this is in poor area schools as well, where education isn't necessarily the most important things to students. So why not give the students two things they need at the same time. Granted it isn't much, but anything is a lot to these students I'm sure. And I'm sure this would cause more students than you think to actually care about education, realize that they like learning and it's importance, and continue their education past high school. The cost would be hardly noticable, so I don't understand how anyone could be against this..

LOL......how anyone could be against this? Uh....what does it say about out society, culture, families, future, etc. They are basically admitting the first nine years CPS has put into building an educational foundation has been pointless. LOL!!!! and $50 bucks?!?!!? These kids get more money from the drug dealers. I am against this because it tells me that the CPS teachers and administration have given up. This is a HUGE cry for help, not hope.

Bp can you imagine these kids going on job interviews later in life....

Interviewer: "we would like to hire you for $40,000 a year."

CPS grad: "Is that $40,000 for average work, above average, or excellent?"

Interviewer: "Excuse me?!?"

CPS grad: "You see, I was taught in high school that I should receive EXTRA incentive to do what I am supposed to. So, are you offering $40,000 for average, above average, or excellent work on my part? Or is it just to show up?"

LMFAO!!!!!

No nothing wrong with this idea....
