Question Chris Berman - Like him or dislike him. Rank him from 1-10

Berman has always been one of my favorites.

I give him an 8 with 10 being the highest

Thoughts?

Chris Berman made ESPN, however he now considers himself a demigod

I give him a 6/10

He was asked about the end of "NFL Primetime", as the show will no longer be on ESPN on Sunday nights. His response was probably the dumbest thing I have heard in a while.

He said the feeling that he had at the end of his last NFL Primetime show was just as bad a feeling as what Tony Dungy was feeling when his son died and also compared it to what the family's of the miners in West Virginia felt.

Got a chance to work inside the ropes at the 1994 U.S. Open at Oakmont for ABC and ate lunch with C.B. at the ABC compound and can say he went out of his way to answer the many questions I asked him and seemed to be a cool guy! While talking to the full time grunts for ABC they said he is totally down to earth and treated everyone with respect and they loved him which was quite apparent by the ribbing and abuse he took from the people who walked by while he was eating! He is a BIG MAN with a big heart IMO and what you see on TV is his actual persona!

His crap is like a played out Vegas lounge act. He is and has always been more concerned with attention to himself then delivering information about sports.

I trakced him at the last homerun derby, he said "back, back, back," on 80% of the home runs. Who the hell wants to hear that? We dont need to hear your "signature" 148 times in a telecast.

He is brutal as a play by play announcer. Who thought of that idea? Oh wait, it was him, as he is a minority owner at ESPN. While i give him credit for his early work (real early) and helping build ESPN, he has become a prima donna who seeks to attention the athletes get. His use is a sportscenter guy, something he seems to feel he has outgrown and is too good for. Unfortunately he has little talent anywhere else. That lounge act got old 15 years ago.

Some body please take that old horse out back and put him down.

He was good back in the day. He's an old dog with old tricks.

Now days... he's just unoriginal. The well is dry.

He's a big kiss @$$ now...

When Flutie did the drop kick, I thought Berman was going to have a stroke patting himself on the back about how it was his idea

Like him for Prime Time and the draft, Can do without his play by play
