Chris McAlister Is Broke......AND Living With His Parents!

Former Pro Bowl CB Chris McAlister: I'm broke - NFL - Sporting News

Does anyone feel sorry for him? I sure as heck don't, especially when you have earned somewhere in the neighbourhood of $47 million.

My ex brother in law pays 0. Makes 60k+ a year , woke up one day and decided he didn't want to be married anymore . My sister in law says she's afraid he'll fight for custody of their 3 yr old boy if she asks for child support. What a piece of shit.

Sounds fair to me. Usually the the woman gets custody, and the guy has to pay all the money to support a kid he never gets to see. You think that is fair?

my point was 11k is ridiculous.

regardless of who has custody and who makes more money there should be a cap on child support. 1 kid 1k a month 2 kids 2k whatever.. but 11,000??? who wouldn't be broke having to pay that every month?

do any of you spend $130,000+ on your kids a year?

Making payments does not make you a dad/parent. 11 g's, 1 g, or a dollar.......It is what you do with your child that matters.

He gets him 3 times a week. He just bought a new car and a new house and she had to move in with her parents. Hope he gets cancer of the prick.

child support isn't static its about sustaining a certain lifestyle so as to make the woman most comfortable

There is NO dollar amount on taking care of your own children! I pay child support for my son and in addition to that, I pay for his football program, school clothes, etc. And she makes way more money than I do! My father is a deadbeat and I would not allow the same for my kids!!!

I understand and respect your comment but my point still is 11K?!?!?!?!?!?!

That's absurd. If you wanted to give your children that amount, that's a great thing. But no way should a court force that on someone. The bare necessities is what child support should cover. You should not be forced to pay your ex-wife's rent, credit card etc. just because you make more money than her. The child support system is corrupt.
If you are going to force someone to pay 11K for ONE child (which I doubt this is the case here, McAlister probably has 6-7 kids), it should be spread out into some kind of child support pool so more than 1 child can prosper off of it (for instance the children who do have deadbeat parents who don't pay anything)
