Class actions

Has anyone ever received any amounts worth while? I have been in 2 and I gotten $2 in one and $3 in the other. Right now I am in the one against Ameriquest. When they sent the paperwork I filled it out thinking wow maybe 5 bucks this time. They have received the settlement and have a chart that's says I should be getting over 6K But I am not counting my chickens.

I`ve received them, but never filled them out. The way I figure it is, by the time the lawyers etc. get paid there`s nothing left for the plaintiffs.

Guess the lawyers got it. A lot of people lost their homes over Ameriqests bullshit. I was lucky I can still make the payments. Paying 8% and can't refi because they put me upside down. In a year or so paying extra I should be able to redo at a lower rate. Like I said Lucky.

Holy shit. 8%? Damn dude.

I think that if you save the extra payment you are better off putting as down towards principal when refinancing.

That's brutal.

Class action lawsuits only make money for lawyers.

I agree with statement. This forum sounds like a hate lawyers Forum but in defense of Lawyers I will say if the time comes you really need one they can be a great help if they are honest

It's shouldn't be about the money. You should always fill out the form. $5 per person can add up. And these corporations that try to take advantage of their customers should be punished and the best way to do that is their bank account. Jmo

The biggest problem was Ameriquest filed bankruptcy and went out of business. 22 mil was all that was left even though they had ripped off way more than 22 mil. So I was lucky to get anything.
