OK, guys this is what Judge got us on the room rate details..

Unless we guarantee more that 40 rooms for at least two nights, they are going to hold firm on the $109 per night for Friday and Saturday and $89 for Sunday night. If guys want to double up in a room, it is an additional $30. At Rio, every room is a fairly spacious suite with a wet bar, nice plasma TV, a large sectional couch and a king or two queen beds. Those prices are good for 20 to 40 rooms which we feel is within the range of how many will show. when it comes to "Rio Suites" the cheapest room for that weekend is normally $150 so judge feels pretty good about the 27% discount... which he will lock up tomorrow.

Judge & BFC is also working out a deal on a Meet & Greet event.. we'll keep you updated on that.

In the meantime those serious of going can use the email below to say your in.. ( Along with CM Handle ) when confirmed we'll list your names along with ours.

Email: CMConvention@gmail.com

The more the merrier folks... if you got any questions list them in this thread>> Cappersmall convention

OK guys, we have finalized the initial plans for the 1st Annual CappersMall Convention which will be held at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on October 9th - 11th. Discounted room rates have been arranged and will be available by the middle of next week ONLY through a special CappersMall web link that the Rio Group & Meeting staff will set up for us. When the link goes live, it will be posted in this thread and ALL reservations for the event must be made through this link.

Here are the details on the accommodations:

PREMIUM and DELUXE STUDIO SUITES

These suites are 630 square feet with the following amenities:
2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed
36” Television with In-Room Movies
In-Suite High Speed Internet Access (additional fee)
Sofa and Armchairs
Floor-to Ceiling Windows
Refreshment Center with Refrigerator
In-Room Safe
Bathroom with Double Vanity and Hair Dryers
Deluxe Bath Amenities

Suite Rates: Thursday - $59, Friday - $109, Saturday - $109, Sunday - $89

These rates are discounted from the standard internet rate by more than 25%. If you are a Total Rewards member through the Harrah’s player program, you may be entitled to an even better rate or even a complimentary room so check the Rio website. Unfortunately, this is the only type of suite that the hotel is offering a discounted group rate on but certainly others are available at the standard or Total Rewards prices.

If you make a reservation for a suite that does not qualify for the CappersMall group rate, please be sure to make the reservation through the CappersMall web link anyway so that we get credit for as many rooms as possible. Additionally, everyone is strongly encouraged to sign up for a Total Rewards card upon arrival at the hotel and to use your card for all gambling done during the weekend. Not only will you receive points for your play but we will be able to demonstrate to the hotel that we are indeed gambling which is of course, the reason they are offering the discounted rates. I have played up the fact that CappersMall is a gambling discussion forum so please use your player’s card every chance you get.

On the evening of Friday, October 9th, BetFirstClass will host a Meet & Greet event from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in on of the Masquerade Suites at the hotel. There will be an open bar and a deli style buffet provided throughout the event. This will give everyone a chance to put some faces to the various posting handles that we know each other by and should be very interesting. ;)

Ideas for additional organized activities during the weekend are being kicked around and more information will be posted as these things are finalized but we wanted to go ahead and make the room rates available so that Mallers could make arrangements now if needed. Stay tuned for the special CappersMall web link to be posted and for additional event info as thing develop.

If you plan on attending this event, PLEASE email us at CMConvention@gmail.com and your name will be added to the list of confirmed attendees.

I will be finalizing the catering details for the CM Convention Meet & Greet and would like some feedback on what kind of beer and liquor you guys prefer. I doubt that I will be able to accommodate everyone's preferences but would like to get an idea.

Please email me this info even if you post it here so I can be sure that I have everyone's email address. I need this so that I can send you all details on the exactly where in the hotel we will be meeting. I don't really want to post this information on the forum so that we can keep our event private.

Also, I am looking into reserving three of the large horseshoe shaped booths in the sportsbook for the Saturday and Sunday games but they have a minimum wager requirement that we would have to meet. In the email message that you send, please indicate if you will be wagering on games at the Rio.

My email address is in my signature below this post.

Judge, if its cold and free, we'll drink pretty much anything. If you are looking for domestic choices, i like pretty much all Lights but prefer Coors Light. If you want some harder choices to find, Yuengling and Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat

Uhhhh, did you not get the memo where the rationale for this weekend was NCAAF, NFL, NHL and opening weekend for NBA?

Trossi, can you please add UVA to the mailing list?

F*cking slacker, that Trossi!
