CM Family VS. "Real" Family/Friends

Lets hear the stories folks, I know you all have some. Hell, I lost a great girl over CM because she thought I was on here too much and didn't pay enough attention to her... I am not sure what she said, I wasnt listening. But anyway, I have made some really close friends through this website and why not? Its a group of our peers who obviously enjoy the same things that are important to our lives. I have met probably more members in person than anyone else just because of my job, but I will tell you this, EVERYONE of them have been good people and fun as hell! There are some more fun than others and there are some that next time they are in town, I surprisingly have something to do.

The point of this thread is, when you try and introduce your Cappersmall friends into your regular crowd, how do you do it? Do you come right out and say, "hey I met this creepy dude online but he is good people so he is going to hang for awhile."

When Wendy was in town, I told everyone that I had a gay uncle coming to visit and that he was really emotional from gaining so much weight and so if they could be really nice to him in a ruh-tard kind of way, I would appreciate it.

Thats why CM Conventions are so good, you just get a collection of great people that are from all different backgrounds but they're there for one thing and one thing only, the open bar in Judge's Suite. Just explaining to the girl about going to Vegas for CM2 was like pulling teeth but i got my point across.

i actually met my g/f online almost 11 yrs ago so she understands lol but my "real life" friends think i'm a jackass......then again, if they had any taste or common sense they would've cut me off yrs ago, douches

haven't met anyone but i am going to vegas to hang out with a bunch of people i don't know lol looking fwd to meeting everyone who goes

even the poker freeroll helps to get to know people on here a little bit too, i had a few conversations during the games with people i might not normally have really done so with

I remember when I first moved to Dallas, Poster SMET's wife wouldn't let him hangout with me because I was some "creepy guy from the internet". Now I can't get her to quit calling me

Never met any of your worthless phucks. The reason, we may have a lot in common and I might not want to go home.
