CM stats

The CM stats just doesn't seem to add up.

The "members only" rule was put into effect prior to the early kickoff on Sunday.

Yet the user count still showed 600+ "GUESTS"

One would think with the "members only" rule, guests should = 0 or very close to it.

Maybe the counter needs to be reset.

We only went to "members only" around 11:30 for 1.5 hour to help when it got sluggish.

Guests can still come to Cappers Mall when I turn them off. They just can't view threads and hit refresh a million times when it's set like that but they can still come to the main page of the forum, thus the reason it still shows guests (no need to reset).

When I entered the main page of CM Sunday morning prior to actually logging on, there were NO threads displayed, every section was hidden. The only thing displayed was the list of members currently online, along with the user counts.

That's why I was surprised to see 600+ guests when guests cannot view any threads.

It would probably easier to explain if.....The NEXT time you enforce the "members only" rule, try viewing CM as a guest (without entering CM id) on another computer.

Actually that raises another question.....Why would 600+ GUESTS hang around this site when they have NO access to any of the threads???

They should leave and ease the load on the servers.
