I like em all, but alot of todays country is pop country. It seems to be able to keep a people into "country" music more so than if it was all "old school". Teens and the under 40's wouldn't listen to country if it was all Merle Hag, Johnny and Willie.

yeah...they are trying to sell records and by cross promoting their garbage on top 40 and country they are making a killing but its still shit. There are alot of good acts out that arent old school country....here is a local group that kicks ass....cross canadian ragweed..im sure its not for everyone but its a hell of alot better than rascal flats..these guys actually right their own songs, what a concept.

I've seen CCR up here in Indy at a small local country bar. Boys from Oklahoma will get em going, huh? You probably liked a little Chris Ledoux as well. How some this old hat?

Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.

I F'ing hate Rascal Flats...

Be - love all those guys you mentioned... CCR love them, but I think they have let things got to there heads and aren't producing as good of music as in the past... Like RR - saw him recently as well as Stony LaRue... think he might be my fav right now.

and just another opinion... The Opry sux... Gearge (Strait) started the right trend... "Don't really care as long as I'm #1 in Texas" this being he never really cared about going to the CMA's and the Opry.

Texas Country is by far the best (No, it doesn't mean only played in Texas - just the style)... R.E.K. is probably the one to thank for this style... Be - you got any other guys you think prob started it?
