coca cola (KO)

my portfolio (aside from my 401k), seems overly speculative to me. i want to start gaining a position in a safe company where i can just leave my money and let the economy do its thing over a period. i'm willing to let it sit for a while.

any thoughts on whether KO might be this company for me? they and pepsi both got shit on when the market had that nose dive the other day and i think it might be a good time to get in.

KO has a higher p/e ratio, and its stock has a lower cost/share .......thats something to look for, right?

any opinions, expert or otherwise are appreciated.

check out JPM J.P. Morgan.. maybe wait for a pullback to get it.. but, if you wanna hold it long-term this price is a good buy.. i've owned the stock for the past 2 years... solid company that pays a dividend... somewhere around 2% i think...
