KONA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former UH quarterback Colt Brennan was involved in a two-car accident on the Big Island Friday morning.
It happened at 9:36 a.m. on Queen Kaahumanu Highway at the 90 mile marker near Makalawaena. Police say Brennan was a passenger in a 1997 Toyota SUV headed north. The SUV crossed the center line and struck a 1996 Saab sedan headed south, head on. The driver of the SUV has been identified as 27-year-old Shakti Stream of Kona. Brennan and Stream were taken to the Kona Community Hospital. Sources tell Hawaii News Now that Brennan sustained back injuries. Police say the driver of the Saab sedan is a 47-year-old woman from Waikoloa. She was transported to North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. A portion of the highway was closed, but police reopened it at 11:15 a.m. Hawaii News Now is following the story and will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.

Hopefully he pulls through as he was the man on Hawaii. I remember that team, and I was always looked forward to their games.
