May be able to help with this. You said you are computer illiterate so I will try and cover everything with as much detail as possible. Not even sure if this is the problem, but regardless I will take the time to type out a possible solution.

Does the pop up read "Application cannot be executed. The file "whatever file" is infected. Please activate your anti virus software" ?

If that is the case open up your task manager. Look for this process "05643921.exe install.exe" If you find it, highlight it, click "End Task" If you don't see this don't worry, just exit task manager.

Next click Start, go to run and type regedit, click OK.

Now you should see a folder that reads "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" There will be a + sign to the left, click it and it will drop down.

Now there should be another folder titled "SOFTWARE" click the + sign to the left of this also, it will drop down, might be a lot of options.

Find the folder that is titled "Microsoft" and click the + to drop it down also.

Find the folder labeled "Windows" and again click the + to drop it down.

Now there should be a folder that says "CurrentVersion" click the + again.

From that drop down list there should be an "Uninstall" folder, drop this one down also.

If you are still with me, after you drop this folder down, there might be a folder titled "systemsecurity2009" and it might have a dropdown menu....OR there may be separate folders and they will be titled this.

systemsecurity2009
systemsecurity2009 displayicon
systemsecurity2009 displayname
systemsecurity2009 shortcutpath
systemsecurity2009 uninstallstring

So if there is just one folder titled "systemsecurity 2009" there should be a dropdown menu, drop it down and you will most likely see the other 4 inside of this folder. If that is the case, right click "systemsecurity2009 displayicon 2009" go to the delete when it pops up. Do this for each thing inside the folder.

IF there is separate folders for each of those listed, simply right click the whole folder, and go to delete.

ONE MORE THING

Open up task manager once again. Click on the "processes" tab. and again look for this.

05643921.exe install.exe system security 2009.lnk system security 2009 support.lnk

If you find it, highlight it, end process. If you don't see it, no worries.

Restart your computer and see how things are.

Current odds at BFC are 6 to 1 that BE will not be able to follow these instructions.

yeah, our guy is a total pot head, calls our laptops "machines". He is so laid back no matter what, i could say...."hey patrick", i just shut down the entire server and installed a company wide virus and he would be like" no problem buddy, we will get that fixed right up". i kiss his ass, tell him he is "da man" and shit because god knows what i have on this laptop.
