Computer Helpppppppp!!!!!

Ok so I have a sony vaio and when I start the computer up everything is fine, all the icons show up everything loads as usual.........and then all of a sudden all the icons disappear and dont come back.........Im on it right now only because i clicked to open firefox before the icon disappeared....

What is wrong with my computer?? I have spyware and the newest norton so its not a trojan or a bug or anything like that......is my computer shot? Is there a way i can get the icons to not disappear?

I get this problem quite a bit, it's malware. I have Norton, Kaspersky, etc and not even these things will get rid of this shit. Download this program (you will see the little green download icon to the left). http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Run it and let it destroy anything. I've had this happen numerous times and sometimes malwarebytes will fix it, other times I've just gotten fed up and reformatted.

malware

easiest solution if you don't have any files that need to be backed up is to do a windows clean install

iggs you gotta call Dave's gf to snort the coke that is infecting your laptop...
if that doesnt work then get malwarebytes like they said above.

when you start your machine, press F8 to get the options, and start it in safe mode. use a different machine to download malwarebytes, and put it in a USB stick. use the usb stick to transfer it to your laptop; install it and run it while you are in safe mode. it shoudl clean it and then you should be able to start without problem after that.

u definitly have the virtumonde "virus"

not truely a virus persay but u have a inhanced version of a popup that doesnt display on ur window.

ALL OF THE TOP virus protection companies are fed up with this and whoeevr the programmers are who designed it two years ago get smarter by the day...it has morphed over 25 times and everytime the secuirty of the virus is changed, the nortons/kaperskys/CA/trend micros need to re-crack the code and beat the virus all over....I know this because I personally was the first to have this bastard in morph 15 about a year ago and personally was CA Anti-trust and Trend Micros (had both cause two comps) poster child for testing.....took about on week of hard research and they actually connected to my computer and i jus left it on they did the work from there side through internet i assume?

That is my reccomendation...U HAVE NORTON...use it....they will solve all ur problems but for first two hours on phone they want u to do estarts and system checks to make sure it isnt something hardware like hard-drive bad..etc...they will however stand behind the product that gurantees the best (even though all the companies tell u the same thing)

Goodluck and another thing if u get nowhere doing that...Search for HIJACK THIS and download it and find the forums where the computer gurus can read it for u...they will solve ur problems within a few days.

One last option is TREND MICRO FREE HOUSECALL ONLINE. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

this is a very extensive cleaner...but it takes upwards of 6 hrs...but it may do the trick as well UNLESS this is one of the cases where the virtumonde has MOPRHED and u are a poster child...lol..i hope not.

When your icons and taskbar disappear hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and the Task Manager should come up. Click on File then New Task(Run...) then type explorer in the open box and press OK. This should bring your icons and taskbar back. But you definitely have a malware problem that needs addressed.
