computer issue
my dell latitude d620 laptop has a problem. the screen looks like it has a film over it that shakes and makes the resolution look bad. It will do this for like 3 days, then all of a sudden it will be ok and normal for 3 days then bad again etc. etc......anyone heard of this or have a suggestion?

Hook up an external monitor to it to determine if it the problem is the screen, or the graphics chip going bad. Can you replicate the problem on the external monitor?

Have you recently installed any software that may have modified or installed new graphics drivers in windows?

Also, keep in mind that heat issues show up in different ways, make sure the vents are clear from dust and crap. Make sure there is good air flow underneath the laptop.

This has nothing to do with heat issues though if your computer does heat up too much it can mess your screen up (lines going through it, etc.) But this just sounds like a dell problem, I have heard people complaining about this....the chip is prolly going bad. Be, when you reboot your computer check the resolution......see if it changes
