Computer On Or Off When Away/Asleep?

Is your home computer turned on or off when asleep or away/at work ?

A) Turned Off - I like to save energy (meaning I'm cheap-save electricity)
B) Turned ON ( I'm afraid I might not get an important email)
C) Never thought about it ,
thanks you blankety blank now I will ...

standby mode. almost the same as shutting down, but starts back up quicker than full reboot.

The part on any computer that is most likely to fail is the power supply as a result of turning the computer on and off. Never turn your computer off, simply let it go into sleep mode.

I nearly always leave my home computer turned on (sleeping or away stays on), after reading this maybe I should turn it off more often.

I don't buy this...the fact that you leave your computer on constantly never allows the power supply to rest, which results in overheating and the computer running at less than its full potential

Check it out, it's true. The power supply is not an element that "overheats".
