Concert Ticket Stubs

Gimme your best stuff!

I've saved most of mine throughout the years. Scanned these in when I was going through my Saints ticket stubs earlier tonight.

I found this RunDMC/Beastie Boys from 87 in New Orleans. That was still the King of Rock/Licensed to Ill era. Somewhere I've got the 86 tour ticket from before the Beasties released their 1st album.....they opened and LL Cool J was the 2nd act, touring his 1st release, Radio.

The Lenny Kravitz ticket is only significant because Blind Melon opened for him. Kravitz lived in NO for several years during that time, and Blind Melon lead singer Shannon Hoon died of a speedball OD in New Orleans.

Lollapalooza 92 was awesome!! They had Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Ministry, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Tremendous!

Of course, Eddie Murphy back when he was actually funny, during the prep for the Raw film.

I also have stubs from Bon Jovi opening for Ratt and then Ratt opening for Bon Jovi one year later.

So, who else saves your stubs?

Pretty sweet being at the Vet and all.

I went to one concert at the Superdome.......I hate to say, but it was 1984....Huey Lewis and the News with Hall & Oates and the Neville Brothers.

Bands I've seen the most: Marilyn Manson and Motley Crue, both 5 times.

Well, I've seen my Braves lose to the Phils, my Saints lose to the Eagles (in the playoffs, check my stub pic from 1993 in the NFL forum) and seen Bon Jovi put on a hell of a show a couple times.

If memory serves me I believe Big Pimpin was a collector of ticket stubs, think I remember him asking for them before. I used to save all mine, even movie stubs lol, not anymore though

Did you guys know they sell those used stubs online?

I must have about 100 concert tickets and many are doubles from the same concert--all near mint condition. Now they don't rip them in half like they use to do. My tickets go back up to about 10 years: Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Neil Young, Judas Priest, Metallica, Deep Purple, Neil Diamond, Mountain, Tom Jones, Def Leppard, April Wine...blah blah blah.

I lost about another 100 through a flood at a previous residence: Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Nazareth, Deep Purple, and many others--all 1970's-1980's concerts I attended.

I sent Big Pimpin some NHL, AAA Ottawa Lynx and CFL stubs last year. I just sent him another 11 of Ottawa Senator's games. He told me when in Baltimore he would treat me to the local "glory house"

Anybody want tht deal or treat send your sports stubs to him.

As for my concert stubs--I'm going to die with them but may someday sell the doubles.

Now with my digital cam I bring to every concert the last two years--about 100 pics per concert I've attended and many front row. Lots of nice close-up shots. Not releasing any as I plan to do something with these in my retirement.

Last concert I attended was April Wine--I asked the roadie for a couple guitar picks but none in sight...then asked him for Myles Goodwin's set list and he gave it to me after the concert. I still have 2 guitar picks of Tommy Shaw of Styx from back in the early mid-70's concert Equinox. $100 wouldn't buy one.

Lots of autographs from band members after the concert or backstage. I bring or buy a group photo, album, CD or DVD and have them auto it--this more and more.

Rockers are cool guys. Rock On!

The oldest concert ticket I have is a 1998 Beastie Boys concert ticket at the Spectrum in Philly (soon to be torn down). I remember we went to the Phillies game during the that day, left the game to go to the concert, my cousin was passing his bowl down the aisle and it never came back lol. Then we tried to get back into the Phillies game and my cousin was about to get arrested lol.

I have a bunch of sporting events and concert tickets that I collect. However, about 10 years ago I threw a bunch away that I wish I had kept.

I still have all the stubs from the 15+ Stevie Ray Vaughan shows I saw, plus the stubs from most of the other shows I've seen. Oldest stubs are Fleetwood Mac (Rumours tour) and The Doobie Brothers (Minute By Minute tour) both from 1977. Also still have somewhere the stub from Pink Floyd--The Wall at the Nassau Coliseum in I think 1980.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Awesome SRV collection, Keith. We had plans to go see him in Mississippi when he was with Clapton. Of course, that's when he died and we never got to see him. We saw Clapton. Seems like it was only a couple months after.

Sweetleaf, my uncle is an old school hippie from SF and has seen the Dead a ton.

My brother in law saw the Doors with Jim Morrison. He said Jim did about 4 songs and the show was over. My mom saw Elvis.
