Craigslist killer caught

Philip Markoff, 22, a pre-med student at Boston University and a Quincy resident, was charged last night with the murder of Julissa Brisman, 26. Markcoff allegedly met Brisman through a massage ad on the popular Web site and fatally shot her last week inside the Copley Marriott Hotel, cops say.

Markoff, who will be arraigned today, is also charged with armed robbery and kidnapping in connection with an alleged attack on a 29-year-old woman at the Westin Copley Hotel on April 10.

After receiving more than 150 tips, law enforcement put Markoff under surveillance for several days. He was taken into custody yesterday afternoon as he drove on Interstate 95 in Walpole.

He'll probably walk. Some high dollar defense attorney working pro bono will convince the jury that the 150 folks were wrong.
