I want to go see him, I've watched the show and I have also watched his standup on dvd. Has anybody seen him live and is it worth $65.

He's doing 15 shows in 13 days in SF. Tickets are $45. I'm thinking about going.

I saw him live while i was in college (Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA) with Jim Brewer.

Not only was Brewer 100x funnier on stage, I'd actually go as far as saying Chapelle was bad. Not funny. Not amusing. Totally stoned. He was maybe on stage for 20 minutes.

Now, this could be because he was playing to a crowd of college students of which 99.5% were white...but I wouldn't shell out any serious dough to see him...just watch his reruns on Comedy Central.

I watched one standup show on Comedy Central after having watched his comedy show (which I find absolutely hilarious and amazingly good) and must say I was disappointed in the standup (high expectations maybe?). But it's probably worth seeing anyway if you got the disposable cash.
